Gallery Help File

The way I set this up is, when a registered member signs in to the website and clicks on the gallery link, a user category is automatically created the first time they access the link. However the category is NOT published, because most of the time you are just browsing around.

Here are the steps that a new member needs to take to upload a picture. You will only need to do this first set of steps once.
 

  1. Logon to the website
  2. Click on the Gallery link
  3. Click on User Panel
  4. Click on Categories
  5. Click on the Edit Icon under Action  that is listed next to their username
  6. Here you can change the Title, add a description, change your access level (I wouldn’t recommend it), most important! Changing Published from NO to YES, and you can also select a thumbnail.
  7. CLICK ON SAVE

If you would like to create sub-categories, here are the steps:

  1. Logon to the website
  2. Click on the Gallery link
  3. Click on User Panel
  4. Click on Categories
  5. Click on New Category
  6. Create a title for the Category
  7. Select the Parent Category
  8. Give the Category a description
  9. Change Published to YES
  10. CLICK ON SAVE
  11.  

Once the Category / Sub-Category is Published,  you are now able to upload your pictures 

  1. Logon to the website
  2. Click on the Gallery link
  3. Click on User Panel
  4. Click on New Picture
  5. Here you can Title their image
  6. Select the Category
  7. Give the image a description
  8. Select the image file from your computer by clicking on Browse (Maximum image size is 2mb)
  9. Click on Upload
